Saturday, March 3, 2:30-4:30.

This is an all-ages event, where we give old books a second life by folding, gluing, stapling, ribboning, drawing, combining them into a whole new piece of art.  We provide music, snacks, lots of art materials, loads of discard books and magazines, and library staff who will help you find inspiration, problem-solve—and ooh and aah over your creations.  No explicit instruction is provided, but examples of previous creations are on display and several books are available with various altered book ideas. The program is drop-in, so you can come for any amount of time, and if you find a book you don’t want to alter, but would rather keep, you’re welcome to take it home.
