During this class, local artist Robert Peltzer will help you understand and develop the skills and techniques necessary to enjoy and succeed at watercolor painting. This class is open to adults ages 18 and older. Participants should bring their own watercolor paper, paints, brushes, and a palette. FOR 11/22  Create a painting incorporating 'granulation' somewhere in your painting as discussed in class. For examples, see below:

FOR 11/15  Paint something of your choosing, but use a comb and some other scraping implement somewhere in your painting. Use the video link below by Shirley Trevena as a guide. Come to class prepared to share advice given by Shirley in her video. FOR 11/8  (LIBRARY CLOSED ON 11/1)  Paint the following (Lee Blair) desert scene, paying special attention to the soft transition in color between the sky and clouds as well as the soft transition between the darker mountain tops and the lighter mountain bases. Most other aspects in this painting use the more straightforward 'wet on dry' technique. (CLICK HERE)
