Mindfulness for Holiday Stress with Christine Lustik, PhD.

The holidays are a mix of emotions. Everything we see tells us they are supposed to be a glittery time of joy, ease, and connection. For many, they are also, and possibly more so, a time of sadness, stress, and loneliness. In this workshop, we will practice the awareness of where we are as individuals during our holiday journey and will learn about some Mindfulness based tools and practices that can support us during the holiday season. Workshop held in the Large Meeting Room. 6:00-8:00 PM

Parental Mindfulness Series with Christine Lustik, PhD. & Amy Friedman: Introduction to Mindful Family Practices

The ability to be in the moment as a family, taking in the pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral moments without wishing you were somewhere else is a gift. It can allow us to find the little joys in each day and not pass them by as we focus on schedules and expectations. We invite parents and children to come together for this 3-hour session. There will be times when parents and children are learning and practicing together– learning Mindfulness tools they can use as a family during stressful moments. And, there will be times when parents and children are in their own groups– learning age appropriate tools that can support them as individuals during challenging family moments. Workshop is held in the Large Meeting Room. 10:00 AM-1:00 PM

Parental Mindfulness Series with Christine Lustik, PhD.: Managing Daily Parenting Stress

Stress is shown to affect us physically and psychologically.  It can affect our personal relationships, our work satisfaction, and professional relationships. When we add parenting to that mix, often the change in sleep, worry about our children, and just general increase in responsibility and care for another sends us over the edge.  In this session we'll learn about the difference between positive and negative stress and we'll learn some practices that hopefully can support you in finding more moments of ease and hope throughout your days. No registration required. Childcare will be provided. Workshop held in the Large Meeting Room. 6:00-8:00 PM. This is a reschedule from a previously planned October 28th workshop, which was canceled due to weather.
