Every month, MPL sponsors free public films. Showings of recently released feature films, kids films, classic movies, and international prize winners are held onsite and are free of charge. Call 721-2665 to find out about upcoming showings.

Cheap Date Night

Cheap Date Night, the third Friday of every month, is an after-hours program at Missoula Public Library

The movie starts at 7 PM, with doors off the parking lot (Front Street side of the building) opening at 6:45. We'll provide the popcorn and you can provide your own non-alcoholic beverages. Please be on time, as after 7:15 PM you will not be able to enter the building for security reasons.

Friday, May 17 at 7 PM - Aquaman (Runs 144 minutes)

An action-packed adventure that spans the vast underwater world of the seven seas. This origins story of a half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry details the journey he must take to face who he really is and to discover if he is worthy of who is born to be.

World Wide Cinema

The WWC film screenings are free and open to the public on the second Friday of every month at MPL in the Large Meeting Room. Lower level doors open at 6:45 PM and the film begins at 7 PM. Please be on time, as after 7:15 PM you will not be able to enter the building for security reasons.

Friday, May10 at 7 PM -  I Am Not A Witch (From Zambia, in Nyanja with English subtitles runs 107 minutes)

When a 9-year old orphan is accused of witchcraft, she is exiled to a witch camp. As the only child witch, she quickly becomes a local star. Soon she is forced make the difficult decision of whether to stay in the camp, or take a risk for freedom.
