Kids Events

Sunday, March 3, 2-4 pm

Please join us in the Children's Department to celebrate the birthday of one of our most beloved children's book creators. We'll have stories, snacks, crafts, and a whole lot more. 

Activities and snacks provided by UM Office of Civic Engagement volunteers.

 

 

Update: Despite the cold weather, we had a great time at our Teddy Bear Sleepover on Friday and Saturday. Thanks to everyone who participated! Here are some photos of the fun:

Play = Learning! Through play your child develops literacy and social skills.

Tiny Tales is for babies and toddlers ages 0 to 3.

Storytime is for preschoolers ages 3 to 6.

 

Lego Club

Please join us every Thursday from 3:30-5 PM on the Dragon Rug in the Children's Department. Lego and Duplo pieces provided. The only thing you need to bring is your imagination! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Special events occur throughout the year. You can watch for these during National Library Week in April, National Library Card Sign-up Month in September, Banned Books Week in October, and more.

Events include make and take crafts, our annual Christmas cookie decorating and craft event, a Teddy Bear Sleepover, Dr. Seuss Birthday celebration, and a Peeps contest.
