PCC is a one-stop-shop, with many community providers and organizations coming together to help meet our neighbors’ basic needs while they work towards obtaining stability—all in a safe, welcoming, and stigma-free environment.

By bringing together a wide range of community providers and organizations, PCC offers participants a welcoming, stigma-free environment to access food, housing assistance, healthcare, employment opportunities, and many other resources.

Please note: Project Community Connect will be held throughout the entirety of the library building and will have an impact on MPL’s services for the day. There will be no passport processing during the event hours. Parking will be limited.

In partnership with Missoula First United Methodist Church and Food Not Bombs, we will be offering a pre-Project Community Connect breakfast at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, located on 300 E Main St. (Use Main St. entrance. Elevator accessible entrance in alley behind the church.)
Free hot breakfast and beverages served 8am-10am.
No matter your skills or availability, there’s a place for you to volunteer at PCC. Every helping hand makes a difference in creating a safe, stigma-free environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Services & Providers
FOOD
Salvation Army mobile canteen providing lunch *outside
Community Action Rotating Potluck Series (C.A.R.P.S.) providing food and information about the potluck series.
Municipal Court Food Pantry canned and boxed food items to take.
Food & Coffee Service Stations there will be several food and coffee stations in the library serving treats provided by local businesses.
LEVEL 1
Community Services
Unhoused Neighbors Union will connect individuals to opportunities for community organizing, equip them with “know your rights” literature, and actively involve them in ongoing research projects.
Missoula Tenants Union will provide information and conversation on organizing as tenants for community power and to fight for access to secure and affordable housing options in the Missoula area.
Western MT LGBTQ+ Community Center will provide resources and community support to members of the LGBTQ+ community.
CatalystMT will provide voter registration and materials to personally advocate at the Montana Legislature.
Welcome Back community of people returning to Missoula after incarceration committed to helping other formerly incarcerated citizens face the barriers of re-entry.
Wellness Resource Access Project (WRAP) helping people establish a connection with the Missoula Coordinated Entry System (MCES) by getting them up to date in HMIS and administering Matching for Appropriate Placement (MAP) Assessments.
Providence Missoula will provide community resource lists, help filling out housing applications & other paperwork, resource navigation, care coordination.
Transportation Services
Missoula in Motion will have resources for sustainable transportation and can help individuals with route planning and answering safety questions.
Mountain Line will provide transit navigation assistance, maps, and information about upcoming route changes
Medical & Health Care
Greater Good Health primary care clinic for aging adults. Will be answering questions and telling people about our clinic and resources.
IPHARM screenings for diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Will offer nonprescription cough and cold kits and be available to discuss any medication related questions.
Missoula Public Health will offer free vaccinations and immunizations.
Open Aid Alliance HIV/HCV/Syph testing and naloxone training/distribution.
Partnership Health Center Medical services provided by an RN, scheduling services with all PHC main clinic, social work, community organizing, wound care. The medical legal partnership coordinator assists patients with various civil legal issues.
Vision Services
Lions Club will offer free reading glasses
Rocky Mountain Optical & Contact Lens Center will provide information on eye health, eyeglasses, contact lens, and answer questions related to vision plans.
Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services
3 Rivers Mental Health Center will offer information on a wide range of mental health support services.
Western MT Mental Health Center will share information about services offered and assist with referral processes.
We Care Behavioral Health will offer information on their mental and behavioral health services.
Winds of Change will provide SUD and Anxiety screening tools along with information on Mental health and substance use services.
Adult & Teen Challenge Pac West will offer information about their services and programs.
Crosswinds Recovery will share information about their program to support individuals returning from addiction, incarceration and treatment to achieve stability in their journey towards long term recovery.
Dental Services
Ponderosa Dental will provide dental services including dental cleanings, fluoride treatment, fillings, extractions.
Art, Wellness, and Self-Care
Wonder Gizmos will provide a community art and writing project.
Giving Art to Missoula will provide a craft table for participants to enjoy as a wellness activity.
Dillard’s will be providing self-care items for the community.

Youth & Family Services
Mountain Home MT will provide baby clothes and other items as a way to introduce their family resource services to families.
Families First
Watson’s Children’s Shelter will provide parent-child engagement activities to take home.
Missoula Early Head Start will provide information on programs as well as coloring pages with crayons.
UM TRIO Upward Bound will provide assistance with completing the eligibility section of their new student application.
Dan Fox Family Care will provide outpatient applications and connections to family services.
LEVEL 3
Legal Services & Shelter Court
Missoula Municipal Court will host Shelter Court for warrant quashing, initial appearances, and information about individual legal cases.
Office of the State Public Defender will provide information on legal counsel during court proceedings and criminal legal advice.
MT Legal Services Association will provide free legal information and resources for those needing civil legal help and applications to start client intake processes.
Pretrial Assistance to Support Success (PASS) Program Pretrial support- check-ins, court reminders, info, assistance with applications.
Calibrate- Missoula County Attorney Office’s Pretrial Diversion Program will provide educational opportunities.
Tribal Defenders Office for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes will provide information and referrals.
Self Help Law Center will provide assistance to those who cannot afford an attorney or choose to represent themselves in civil legal and will have forms and packets available for pick up.
IDs & Birth Certificates
Hope Rescue Mission Outreach & PATH Outreach will provide a Coordinated Entry Sign-up Access Point, assistance with Replacement Birth Certificates & ID’s.
Benefits: Public Assistance & SNAP
Missoula Food Bank & Community Center will provide SNAP/TANF/Medicaid/LIHEAP application assistance as well as information about MFB&CC programs and services.
All Nations Health Center
Missoula Office of Public Assistance will provide assistance with applications for benefits, benefits status checks, and answer questions about programs.
Maximus MT Employment & Training will provide information on the MT E&T program.
LEVEL 4
Employment
Department of Labor Job Service Missoula will answer questions regarding work search assistance, the services available at Job Service Missoula, and scheduling one on one appointments.
Express Employment Professionals will provide information and interview schedules for their office, industrial, professional and skilled trades staffing services.
LaborMax Staffing will be offering employment opportunities.
University of Montana Jobs will provide job search information regarding available positions at UM, how to apply, navigating of their system, and application materials (resume and cover letter).
Amazon will share employment opportunities.
Walmart will share employment opportunities.
Financial Services
Homeword will provide credit reports and analysis.
Educational Services
Montana Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services will provide program information and resources for employment and training.
MT Youth Challenge Academy will provide information about achieving HiSET and earning HS Diplomas for those who did not complete high school.
Summit Career Center will provide information about their tuition free program.
Trapper Peak Job Corps will provide information about the Job Corps program and the trades they offer young adults from 16-24 years old, and partnership connection with other agencies.
Aging & Disability Services
Summit Independent Living will assist guests with completing applications for housing, public assistance programs, or other forms. Will also assist with referrals for other organizations.
Housing & Shelter Services
Missoula Housing Authority will provide information regarding housing opportunities, waitlist status, applications, general housing information.
Missoula Interfaith Collaborative/ Missoula Works will provide information about accessing housing and employment support opportunities.
MT Fair Housing will provide housing opportunities, waitlist status, applications, and general housing information.
The Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) will provide general awesomeness and connections with community organizations and services
YWCA Missoula will provide on-site counseling for people who have questions or concerns about domestic/sexual violence, trafficking, stalking, or any type of interpersonal violence or relationship abuse.
Veteran Services
Department of Veterans Affairs will provide VA Healthcare enrollment information.
Montana Veteran Affairs Division will answer VA benefits questions and get veterans scheduled for office visits to file for VA benefits.
Volunteers of America (VOA) Northern Rockies will provide housing, employment, moral injury, and healthcare navigation to veterans in need.
Veterans Inc. will conduct screenings to determine housing and employment assistance eligibility.
Veteran Affairs & M2VA will meet with veterans to share information on all programs and assist in enrollment.
Haircuts

Community Clothing Closet
HOT Threads community clothing closet provided in partnership between the HOT Team and Missoula Public Library.
OUTSIDE
Animal Services
Missoula Animal Services will provide large dog kennels for pet-sitting during the event. Will also provide pet licensing.
Humane Society of Western Montana veterinarians will be present and will provide core vaccines (Rabies, DA2PP, FVRCP) and microchips to help reconnect animals with their people. Will provide pet food and other supplies.
Bicycle Services
