Are you stuck at home, yearning to satisfy your appetite for adventure? Join us for an online game of Dungeons and Dragons! We’ll walk you through character creation, run a short adventure to teach you the basics, and (if there’s enough interest) start a regular online campaign where you can learn the rules as you go, level up your character, and have fun with others all while maintaining a safe distance. Beginners welcome! Limited to 8 participants per session, ages 12-17. All participants will need free accounts on,, and Discord in order to join our virtual world. The first session will be held on Monday, July 6th from 3-5pm. If you’re interested in joining, please contact us at and we can help you get started!

"Imagine Your Story" Summer Learning Program

Missoula Public Library will stop providing Summer Learning take-home packets beginning July 17. Beginning July 22, Library staff will be focused on moving collections and operations into the new building at 455 E. Main Street.

We will resume the Summer Learning program once we have completed that transition and can safely serve our community in your new headquarters for learning, sharing, and growing. You can still participate in the Summer Learning program online by going to Readsquared. There you can log your reading hours and children can participate in weekly missions. Additionally, our digital collections will continue to be available on our Kids Online Resources page. For more on this important time in the life of your Library, go to MPL Director Honore Bray’s message to the community. Please excuse our “dust” and thank you for your patience!
To use participate in the our Summer learning program online, go to our ReadSquared website and register a new account (adults can create accounts for their children as well). Customize your avatar and start earning badges and points by logging your reading. Youth (ages 0-17) can also participate in weekly missions for even more points and a chance to win a big prize!

"Imagine Your Story" Summer Quest

Join in Missoula Public Library’s “Imagine Your Story Summer Quest” on our ReadSquared website.

Each week, youth will receive fun challenges to complete that will give them opportunities to try new things and learn new skills. Receive points for completing each week’s challenge. Earn enough points and you’ll have a chance to win a big prize!

To participate, youth (ages 0-17) can access the Missions tab when they are signed in. The first mission is already up! Complete each challenge in the mission to earn points and unlock badges.
